Mercy Baskets

We are in need of contributions, please, for our Mercy Basket food parcels. These parcels are provided for people and families who are desperately in need and are truly blessed by our giving. Suggestions: Rice, sugar, baked beans, tinned fruit, corn, soup, pasta, pasta sauce, muesli bars, jam, honey, peanut butter, long-life milk, Weet-Bix, pancake mix, toilet paper, tea bags.

If you have any extra ‘Hello Fresh’ boxes, donations of these would be greatly appreciated for packaging up kai for our Mercy Baskets. These can be dropped into Reception or the Welcome Centre on Sundays.

Retreat
Ian and Kathy Viney’s accommodation and retreat facilities – ‘4451’ at Little River, are available free of charge to any groups, families, or individuals who would like to use them. They especially enjoy hosting people who might not otherwise get a chance to ‘get away from it all’. 4451 is ideal for rest, relaxation, respite, and recreation.

We are looking to fill one of our 24-7 Youth Work positions at Te Aratai College. 

If you have anyone in your church community that has Youth work experience and is keen for some part time work, or someone who has a heart for young people and is keen to give Youth Work a go we'd love you to pass on the information about this role to them.

The Christian Medical Fellowship of New Zealand (CMFnz) is holding its annual inspirational conference with the theme of ‘Embodied Hope’ at South West Baptist on Saturday 25 May from 9am to 6:30pm. Labyrinth at St Luke’s, Christchurch
You are welcome to use the labyrinth at St Luke’s, Christchurch. The labyrinth is viewed as a metaphor for life’s journey. Walking the labyrinth helps us to address challenges, meditate, pray, and find peace and serenity. The St Luke’s labyrinth is always open, and there is a guided walk at 10am on Saturdays.
